Adieu to Late Tai Tasung, thousand takes part in last rite

BANDERDEWA, The social workers, public leaders and former IMC Councilor Late Tai Tassung who breathed his last on Friday night due to a tragic road accident was laid to rest at his residence at Potung colony, Banderdewa with great honour. Thousands of people took part in his last journey, floral tributes were paid by people from various sections of society. 

Before laid to rest a procession was carried out in the Banderdewa township wherein hundreds of vehicles and people take to the streets of national highway-52 and NH-415 wherein the local residents of the area take a sight of their leader who has worked for them for several years in all odd days. 

Member of Parliament (RS) Nabam Rebia in his condolence message said that Late Tai Tasung was a popular figure in the area. He was a good human being and was associated with several public welfare works in the circle. He did several developmental works and wanted them to live in the colony and wanted water supply for the area after the colony was connected with power supply and road connectivity. The wish of late Tasung for water supply at Potung colony can be taken up before a field survey done by the Science & Technology department. Rebia said.

“ I pray almighty for eternal peace of departed soul to rest in heavenly abode” I also pray almighty for providing strength to the bereaved family at the critical period of demise of the head of the family. Rebia added. 

BJP Leader Nabam Vivek in his adders said that Late Tasung was a good person with a humble nature and has never argued with any person for any issue. He has always been in the forefront for public welfare activities. 

 I personally knew him, he was a committed person and has always approached us for public welfare. I pray for eternal peace of the departed soul in heavenly abode. Vivek added.
