Alo Libang assured to take up the matter of job regularization of hundreds of non technical staffs of NHM.

ITANAGAR, Sep 07: The health & Family welfare minister Alo Libang assured to pursue the matter related to regularization of non-technical staff working under National Health Mission (NHM) with the central ministry.

The department could not regularize the employees as there was almost zero financial help from the central government’s end, said Libang.

Considering the 863 non-technical employees who rendered yeomen services for the last 15 – 23 years, the minister informed that two files have been already moved for the regularization of the employees.

Informing, the matter would be discussed with the incumbent chief secretary of the state for further necessary action, he also assured to regularize the non-technical workers in a phase-wise manner.         `

Earlier, Chayang Tajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi during a short duration discussion, said that technical and non-technical employees were appointed by following the same rules and regulation of recruitment process, which need not to be neglected from equal facilities and right.

Stating, in line with the state of Manipur who regularized 400 non-technical employees in one go, Mangfi raised his voice that, if a state like Manipur can then why Arunachal cannot implement the same guidelines.

Supporting the discussion, Nampong MLA Laisam Simai suggested the concerned minister to provide child care and General Provident Fund (GPF) allowance to the non – technical workers.

He also appealed to the minister to revive the committee which was constituted previous year to review the possibility of regularization of non-technical workers.

Koloriang MLA Lokam Tassar appealed to the minister to prepare and submit a proposal to the planning and finance department for the allocation of funds.

Liromoba MLA cum Advisor to home, Nyamar Karbak requested the minister not to work only for the interest of non-technical workers but also for the ASHA workers.

Among others MLAs Kento Jini, Kento Rina, Nyato Dukam, Talem Taboh, Techi Kaso and Ojing Tasi etc also supported the move made by Mangfi. All total 13 members take part in the discussion.
