ITANAGAR, MAY 20: The Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other construction workers welfare Board (APB & OCWWB) today donated a huge consignment of facemask and hand sanitizers to various private and government hospitals of the capital complex. Informed an official.
APB&OCWWB Chairman Nyato Dukam informed that the board has procured facemask and hand sanitizers for distribution to the workers/labour community but due to full containment order of government and lockdown in various parts of state the general distribution could not be materialised. Dukam said.
The registered labour organisation with the board has also been entrusted for distribution in their locality and they are doing well as per information from various districts. Dukam said.
As the state capital is the most populated part of the state with more than two lakhs and with several institutions engaged in Covid management and the workers community are also attached with all these organizations and therefore we have planned to distribute these items to all the government and private hospitals of the capital complex. Today around Forty thousand facemask and hand sanitizer bottles have been distributed to all private and government hospitals of the capital complex. Similarly the facemask and hand sanitizers have also been given to the various check gates and cheknakas of the capital region. Dukam added.
Dukam further said that the labour board is also doing its activities in the Covid management in its own way by following SoP and Covid behaviors. We all have to join together by staying at home and doing our own work at home without going to infection places and remain safe and secure from the clutches of Coronavirus (Covid 19).
Meanwhile, Nodal officer of DCH Chimpu and chest Specialist Dr. Tamar Paling has lauded the effort of APB&OCWWB and thanked its Chairman Nyato Dukam for supporting all the private and government hospitals of the capital complex. He said the facemask and hand sanitizers will be distributed to all the patients and the staff working in the institution which may help them much during the pandemic period we are passing day by day.
