APFPSWA to constitute a committee and visit FPS to listen to grievances and complaints for resolution

ITANAGAR, The All Arunachal Pradesh FPS Dealers Welfare Association (APFPSWA) led by its president Bengia Vijoy on Friday has visited the rice godowns located at Banderdewa and Karsingsa and  interacted with the officials and others. A committee is being constituted to visit FPS for a resolution soon. 

Speaking to media, APFPSWA President Bengia Vijoy said that we have been witnessed in social media and other recently about the public distribution system and ration items through Fair Price shops in state and few other issues, it was necessitated us to visit the godowns located in capital complex to know the ground reality and ground report so that in future if any information and public grievances or complain is received we may able to take necessary action in time without any delay against the FPS or the distributor or who so ever may be responsible or otherwise. He said.  

The ration items are sold under National Food Security Act and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) and even to normal consumers who are having ration card holders through FPS. He said.

There may be any complaint against the FPS and should approached through proper channel so that the action is also properly taken up, we will soon make a committee who will in collaboration of district unit and respective district administration and officers of concern department in various FPS of state and will visit various FPS, carriage contractors depot and godowns and also listen to the various complaints and grievances so that several issues are resolved at the spot. He said.

As of now there are 1662 FPS dealers in the state and the Itanagar capital region alone has 123 FPS dealers who are providing free services since despite lots of problems faced during the Covid 19 pandemic.
