APST bus service for Donyi Polo airport began

ITANAGAR, DEC 5 : The much needed Arunachal Pradesh state transport service (APSTS) bus service to Donyi Polo airport at Hollongi began as the APST pressed on force traveler bus for the purpose.

Informing the media, Transport department special secretary Parul Gaur Mittal said that with the inauguration the donyi polo airport at Hollongi it was necessary to press a government run bus service and with the commitment of the chief minister and transport minister the APST has started  a new route for the airport at Hollongi from capital complex. She said.

The introduction of new route of the bus service would help the passengers those who basically are self driven vehicle and take the benefit of such service right form Banderdewa to Itanagar on its way to Airport. First of all it is on trial basis but based on the benefit to the passengers of flight to Donyi polo airport we may enhanced the service and a Volvo bus would be pressed into services. She said.

The bus service will be operated daily basis from Banderdewa to Donyi polo airport, Hollongi and vice versa and the timing is based on the arrival and departure of the flight. She said.

The bus which will start its journey from Itanagar at morning 7 AM will reached Banderdewa at around 8.30 with a nominal fare of Rs. 60/-. The bus will start its service form Banderdewa at 8.30 and reached Hollongi at 11.30 with a fare of Rs. 120/-. Accordingly the bus service start form Airport at 1.30 with the flight passengers and reached Banderdewa at 3.30 PM. The APST bus will start at stationed at 3.40 PM and will stationed at Itanagar. The timing has been based on the information of arrival and departure of flight from Hollongi airport. She said.

The main purpose is to give service to the commuters and passenger of donyi polo airport and it is desired that people can maximum use the facility for the convenient with a nominal charge. She added. 

For the convenient of tourist and non APST who want to avail the flight and other can apply for ILP and the state government has started tourist E-ILP online. Passengers can directly apply though online and avail the facility. She added.
