Assam Rifles Conducted Medical Camp Providing Healthcare to Deprived Villagers

Changlang: Assam Rifles, the paramilitary force, organized a commendable medical camp on June 3rd, 2023, in Sasum village, Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The primary objective of the camp was to address the healthcare needs of the local population residing in Sasum and neighboring villages, who have been deprived of basic medical facilities.

Under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, a dedicated medical team was deployed for the camp. The team included Dr. P. Sunil Raj, a Pediatrician specialist from the District Hospital in Changlang. The medical professionals provided comprehensive diagnoses for various illnesses and prescribed appropriate medications to the patients. Assisting in the smooth execution of the camp, two nurses from the District Hospital, Changlang, were also present.

A significant number of villagers, totaling 100 individuals, availed themselves of the medical facilities provided. Among them were 41 men, 46 women, and 13 children who received medical treatment and the necessary medications. Moreover, alongside medical assistance, the villagers were educated about the significance of maintaining a clean and green environment in their surroundings, aligning with the theme of World Environment Day.

The villagers from Sasum, Hedman, Borsatam, Renuk, and Singwang actively participated in the medical camp. They expressed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for organizing such an initiative, which not only addressed their healthcare needs but also emphasized the importance of environmental preservation. The efforts made by Assam Rifles were highly appreciated by the local population.

The medical camp organized by Assam Rifles in Sasum village exemplifies their commitment to serving the underprivileged communities and ensuring their well-being. The event undoubtedly brought relief and hope to the villagers, creating a positive impact on their lives.
