Khimyong: In an effort to inspire and motivate school children from Khimyong village, Assam Rifles recently organized a unique event called “A Day with Coy Cdr” at the Khimyong Company Operating Base (COB). The event, attended by a total of 100 students from classes II to XII, along with teachers, parents, and village leaders, proved to be a memorable experience for all involved.
The event kicked off with a warm reception and light refreshments, setting a welcoming tone for the day ahead. The students were then treated to an informative talk about Assam Rifles, special forces, entry schemes, and the significance of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Furthermore, they received valuable information about prestigious institutions like the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Sainik School, and coaching opportunities provided by these establishments.
To keep the children engaged and entertained, various games were organized, adding a fun-filled element to the day. The outdoor lunch provided a chance for the students to interact and enjoy a meal together, fostering camaraderie and a sense of community.
The highlight of the event was the motivational speech delivered by the company commander, who shared inspiring words of wisdom with the young attendees. The winners of the games were awarded prizes as a token of recognition for their participation and achievements.
