NAHARLAGUN, An awareness camp on Legal Adoption was organised by the Office of the Deputy Director cum District Child Protection Officer, Papum Pare on Tuesday at the premises of Specialized Adoption Agency [SAA] , Oju Welfare Association, Naharlagun as a part of celebration on the concluding day of International Month of Adoption.
Altogether, more than 70 participants comprising Prospective Adopted Parents[PAPs], NGOs, Interns from University, Field staff from ICDS Projects took part in the camp.
The Dy. Director cum DCPO, Papum Pare Aryoma Lowangcha while welcoming the participants spoke on the objective and the importance of the camp while Ratan Anya, Chairperson, OWA gave a very detailed presentation and discussion on the different aspects of adoptions.
Later on, an interaction session for open discussion was also held wherein the PAPs and others took part very actively and many doubts were cleared too. The camp ended with a note of appreciation from the organisers to one and all.
