Education Authorities Convene Coordination Meeting to Enhance Teaching-Learning Process in Lower Subansiri District

YACHULI, 2 June: A block and clusters level coordination meeting among education authorities was convened by BRC Chukhu Epa at Govt. Secondary School, Yachuli in Lower Subansiri district on Friday. Epa urged the CRCs to maintain the roles and responsibilities of their assigned tasks, which they were entrusted to fulfill as administrative officers in their respective clusters in the teaching-learning process.

The BRC advised the CRCs to ensure error-free data submission while submitting to the U-dise portal of their respective schools.

During his speech, DPSC, ISSE, Nangram Kayum, assured a reward for the best-performing CRCs and best-performing head teachers of the block starting from the current academic session.

DDSE Lower Subansiri, Tabia Chobin, highlighted an outrage on social media regarding the low percentage of CBSE exam results for 2022-23.

In his speech, he urged the CRCS not to function merely as intermediaries between schools and DPO, ISSE but rather as administrative officers in their respective clusters.

Chobin highlighted various new schemes and facilities under the education department that are expected to be implemented from the current academic session.

DDSE recalled a viral video that surfaced on social media during the renewal process of contractual teachers in Lower Subansiri. He emphasized his commitment to implementing appropriate measures this time and clarified his stance on non-performing teachers, urging them to quit.

Whatever consequences may arise from taking such stringent actions, he expressed readiness to face them, asserting his determination to initiate strong actions against non-performing teachers in accordance with CCS rules.

He advised block functionaries to monitor the Mid-day Meal program, fund DBT to students, provide schools grants to ensure proper utilization of funds, and facilitate the opening of bank accounts for students to avail the benefits of the schemes.

During the coordination meeting, various issues such as the roles and responsibilities of BRCs and CRCs, the opening of students’ bank accounts, non-performing teachers, teachers’ attendance, zero enrollment, and the performance of CRCs and head teachers were discussed.

He further emphasized that as this segment falls under the honorable minister of education, the poor pass percentage of the district should be viewed as a challenge, and all responsible heads should strive to improve the quality of education. He also urged CRCs to submit absentee reports without fear or favor. Later, DDSE urged HOs to conduct meetings with parents, SMCs, and CRCs of their respective clusters before the opening of schools.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Chukhu Epa, BRC Ziro-II block.

CRCs Nabam Ekha, Likha Pekhi, Tao Tekhi, Honi Nagu, Neelam Begi, and Tam Taniang also expressed their views.
