Education Minister Taba Tedir attended the 8th Convocation of NIT at its permanent campus at Jote

JOTE, Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan in his messages to National Institute of Technology of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of 8th convocation has appreciated initiatives taken by NIT Arunachal Pradesh for promoting local dialects.

Pradhan said that it is a happy moment that the convocation is being held and it would be much helpful to the meritorious students and the passed out students to see the ambiance across the world through their learning and experience.

During Convocation, 167 students have been awarded degrees in different disciplines, out of which 129 from Undergraduate courses, 31 from Postgraduate courses and 7 from PhD courses. Being topper in UG and PG courses, 14 students received Gold Medals in various branches and out of that two students Dharmraj Chandrakar and Abhijit Das received Chairman’s Gold medal awards both are from electrical engineering department.      

He extended his heartiest congratulations to all the students and said they must feel proud to graduate from such a prestigious institution of national importance.  The importance  of national education policy being implemented in 2020 is important and praise worthy.

One of the key features in NIT is to promote multilingualism and promote the local language. He expresses his happiness that NIT Arunachal Pradesh has taken initiatives for promotion of local dialects of Arunachal Pradesh and also for inclusion of automatic local dialect identification system and automatic script recorded system of the institution. And he also appreciated the NIT for maintaining the quality education system, through his message.

Union Minister of Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju, in his message express his pleasure to know that 167 students are being awarded their degrees by NIT Arunachal Pradesh in 8th Convocation and also congratulate them for their academic achievements and given them best wishes for their future professional career. 

He praised the Director of the Institute and all faculty members on the occasion of 8th Convocation for their constant effort and progress of the Institute since inception both in academic and research.

He also expressed happiness that NIT Arunachal Pradesh secured 160th rank in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). And extend greetings to all faculty members and staff of the Institute for this remarkable achievement made by the Institute.

Education & Cultural affairs Minister Taba Tedir attending as special guest said that Arunachal Pradesh got an education system very late so we have got lots of problems with implements and products in state. But the present government is focusing and working hard to improve the education system by taking first priority under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and declaring the ‘year of education’.   

He congratulate all the students who received gold medals and degree certificates from  NIT , he said this successes is for their hard works and hard works can give you everything and this is their first steps of success and he also advice the students to keep their hard works and use their talent in welfares of society and make nation proud in this technologically competitive world.

He also appreciated the NIT for providing quality education to the students of the nation as well as state.   

Later on Minister Tedir and NIT Director Prof. Pinakeswar Mahanta , gave away the gold medals and degree certificates to the students.
