Energy conservation week from Dec 8 to 14 concluded

ITANAGAR, The Energy Conservation week 2021 which began on December 8 with several programems with included literary competition, painting competition, online painting competition, essay writing, marathon race and awareness programme by electric vehicle in and around capital coplex has been concluded on Tuesday.

Addressing the valedictory function, Basar MLA Gokar Basar said that time has come and we all have to think ourselves for our existence on the earth, global warming is threatening and every country of the world has now geared up to do the best for conservation and protection of mother nature and utilization of renewal energy resources which can be utilized for better output and our day to day use. He emphasis the use of renewal energy and conservation of environment and forest and forest resources. He said now we have to minimize the utilization of petroleum products and encourage the use fo electric and hydro power which does not give pollution like of burning of fuels, forest fire and etc and also a huge economy loss. He said.

He also appreciated the initiatives of government and APEDA for encouraging the electric vehicle with motives of free sound pollution, air pollution and conservation of energy in the world.  

Arunachal Pradesh energy development agency (APEDA) Director Marki Loya in his address said that the agency has procured two electric vehicle which has been utilized for creating mass awareness among the people. We are promoting for use of electric vehicle which  does not created noise and smoke pollution. We need to be friendly with mother nature and also try to best utilise the natural specially hydropower and electric to avoid the fusel which cerate pollution. The electric vehicle drastically reduced the cost of traveling, maintenance and low running cost and soon we are planning for charging station so that the common man can also buy electric vehicles. Loya said.

He also informed that department also planning for Policy of electrical vehicle so that people should get subsidy and interested person can get help. We also planning for charging station various location in capital complex.  He also said Light electrical vehicle will be success in state.

The two days road show by electrical vehicle on adoption of electrical vehicle on energy conservation of energy, free from sound and air pollution and also various advantage like low maintenance, low running cost of vehicle was send to various corner of capital complex which has been appreciated by masses. Director further said. 

The prizes were given away to the winners of various events which took place in weeklong celebration.

The celebration was sponsored by Bureau of energy efficiency (BEE). 

In marathon race on theme ‘ Race for energy conservation’ the winner in male category were declared to GHSS Itanagar 1st while 2nd and 3rd goes to Ganga HSS, in female category the winner was from Ganga HSS while the 2nd and 3rd were form  GHSS, Itanagar. 

In online essay writing competition on topic ‘ energy efficient building; all the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were given away to the winners of Arunodya HSS. 

In innovative model making competition on theme ‘ IoT application in energy conservation’ the winners was  Ha Tade of NERIST stood 1st, Avang Wangsu of NIT stood 2nd while Juhi stood 3rd position. 

The energy efficient village/panchayat goes to Dokum village of Kmale district at 1st rank, New Mohang village of Namsai district stood at 2nd position, Nyigam-I of Leparada stood at 3rd position, Emchi and Jollang of Papum Pare and Cheta of Lower Dibang valley beg consolation prizes.
