Fixed wing flight service may start soon from Mechuka: Speaker PD Sona

ITANAGAR, FEB 12 : The much needed commercial flight service from Mechuka may start soon and it will connect Dibrugarh, Itanagar and Naharlaugn and with rest of country. Said Mechuka MLA and APLA Speaker P D Sona.

Sona inform that the we have recently inspected the civil terminal of Mechuka advance landing ground (ALG) and it is at the verge of completion and once it is completed the authority of civil aviation and airport authority may visit and inspect and make proper verification and may submit report for operational activities. He said.

The flight service to Mechuka is being initiated under UDAN The work progress of the civil terminal Is being monitored. Some observation were given which is being cleared and hope that all observation is met up. He said.

At present helicopter service is there on Friday and Monday, fixed wing flight may start soon and the locals and tourist will avail the opportunity and would be much cheaper in compare to road and helicopter service. Once the flight service began the footfall of tourist will naturally increase and the economy of people attached with tourism activities wills also increase. Added Speaker Sona.
