Health Minister Alo Libang meets the Union Health Minister

ITANAGAR, Aug 02: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya consented to consider the request of Arunachal Pradesh Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang for a new medical college at Namsai and a cancer tertiary care centre (CTCC).

His request for Namsai was based on the aspiration district of the state, but it would be the second medical college of the state after Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) once approved by GOI.

Libang, accompanied by Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao and Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, also informed him about ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive and requested for more vaccine doses to which the union minister consented. He also briefed the Minister about the Covid management in the state.
