Nyato Dukam visits landslide-hit area, meets victims’ families

ITANAGAR, MAY 19 : The Arunachal Pradesh building & other construction workers welfare board ( APB&OCWWB) Chairman and Talhia MLA Nyato Dukam along with others labour leaders visited the landslide affected area of C-D Sector behind Punjabi dhaba and meet the victim family members.

Dukam console the death of family member in the tragic disaster on May 15 in which the OBT dwelling was completely submerged under the landslide debris triggered by heavy downpour. He condole the demise of three person in the incident out of which two body has already been recovered and retrieved and search for the third one is still continued. He prays for eternal peace of departed souls in heavenly abode and also provides courage to the family members of the victims.  

The labour board chairman provided some financial support to the victim’s family members and assured them to provide ex-gratia as announced by the state government as per guidelines. He also assured to provide whatever possible from the board soon.

Meanwhile, the AAPLU President Dana Tadu who accompanied the Chairman said that we have submitted an application to PWD and urged upon the department and state government for providing appointment on compensate basis for the two PWD employees of capital division who died on landslide recently at Ganga-Jully road on the line of duty.
