ITANAGAR, MAY 23: The Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex today visited the damaged culvert on the Ganga Market-Jullang road and interacted with the officials and few locals there.

DC informed the media that the said stretch of road was damaged during the last monsoon and was blocked for more than 8 month. The work started in March to complete in 6 month and is still under construction since then and a massive traffic jam was witnessed on a daily basis at Chandannagar bridge point on river sinkey.

As per agreement there is still sufficient time and the agency has to complete the work in the said period. Potom said.

Till a better option is taken up for completion of the work on Ganga-Jully road the traffic on the stretch will be completely diverted through Chimpu-Papunallah road. Potom said.
