SAA held coordination meeting with renowned mountaineers of state, assured all possible support from govt

ITANAGAR, JAN 20 : The Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) on Thursday held coordination meeting with the renowned overseers and mountaineers of state to evolve better strategy for promotion of mountaineering and adventure sports. 

Addressing the meeting, SAA Chairman Byabang Taj said that there is a huge potential for promotion of all types of games and sports including adventure sports but need required training and guidance, for last few years the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Sports & Youths Affairs Minister Mama Natung the department of Sports & Youth Affairs and SAA has been able to come up with several sport infrastructure projects and several coaches and trainers has been appointed and all the trainers are doing their best effort to give proper guidance and training to our youths. Taj said.

Even during the Kiren Rijiju as union minister for sports & Youths affairs several supports and blessing were given and hope with the supports and blessing the department and the SAA will make a good progress and the different types of games and sports progress and bring a good laurel for the state and the players for themselves. He said.

There may be some difference of opinion in the several sports association of state and as of now there are more than 60 sports association registered with SAA  of which some are doing well while some of are for name shake, so for the betterment and development of games and sports every sports association should try in their respective games and sport, if at all the performances is not upto the mark they may take the help and support of respective renowned players of state who have made a name and fame in the field so that the upcoming players can also make better in time to come, the SAA will look forward to extend possible help and support as it has been doing. SAA Chairman added.

With regards to promotion of adventure and allied sports, Taj said that there is a need of better coordination among the mountaineers who have been made a remarkable achievement in the field, he suggested the mountaineers to sit and discuses together and bring a guidelines and modalities, rules and regulation which may be incorporated into the policy which may be taken up by the with the Government, everything may progress and develop if we start with a policy and programme with a target to reach the destination. He urged upon all the people and sports personality associated with the allied sports and mountaineering and adventure to give suggestion and guidance for the development of games and sports in state and the policy should be that it can generate revenue and give an employment opportunity as well as promote tourism and economic sustainability. Taj further said.

SAA Director Gumnya Karbak, renowned Everester  and mountaineer Tapi Mara, Ansu Jamsenpa, Tame Bagang,Tagit Sorang, Tashi Yangjom, Taka Tamut among others also share their views and suggestion and take part in the coordination meeting which held at the conference hall of the SAA at Chimpu sports complex.
