Sagalee police sought public support in identification of a dead body found in Pare river

ITANAGAR, FEB 8 : The Sagalee police of Papum Pare district has sought public support in the identification of a dead body found in river Pare in Toru circle on Wednesday morning.

Sagalee police station sources that an information was received from the Goan BUra (GB) of the nearby village that a body has been found in river Pare near a bamboo bridge constructed near the festival celebration in Toru circle. The location is just nearby the Government secondary school Toru. He said.

The police team with the magistrate has visited the spot and inquest were done. It was a body of a male aged around 40 years. White color shirt and black paint was there in body. No identity could be established. The police sources said.

Information has been passed in the nearby police station of district and state and Assam also so that anyone can if knows can share any information.  The sources said.

After registering a case of unnatural death vide Sagalee PS Case No-2/2023 u/s 174 CrPc the body has been kept at morgue of RK Mission Hospital, Itanagar for next 72 hours for identification. After 72 hours the body would be disposed off properly as per law. The sources added.

The Sagalee police further appeal the citizens to help in identification of the body.
