The 31st State Level National Children’s Science Congress for the year 2023, themed “Understanding Eco-System for Health and Well Being,” reached its culmination on November 23rd. C D Mungyak, Director cum Member Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology, expressed gratitude to the Government of India, State Government, Department of School Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Vivekananda Trust, and Principals of both Government and Private Schools for their unwavering support.
During the valedictory function, Chief Guest Dr V K Rawat, Scientist ‘E’ and Head of the Office at the Regional Centre of Botanical Survey of India, Itanagar, urged teachers to inspire students to engage in scientific activities. He emphasized the importance of choosing pure science as a career and encouraged child scientists to be torchbearers in promoting scientific awareness in society.
The rigorous task of evaluating projects was undertaken by a distinguished panel of judges, including Dr Pallabi Kalita Hui from NIT Jote, M Ukil Singh, and Arun Kumar Choudhry from NERIST, Nirjuli. The participants were recognized with prizes, mementos, and certificates, while guide and escort teachers were also honored with participation certificates.
The event celebrated the young scientific minds of Arunachal Pradesh, fostering a spirit of innovation and scientific temperament among students.
