PALIN, The Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture, AH, Vety & Dairy Development Tage Taki on Monday has appealed to all sections of society to opt Agril, Horti and allied activities for economic sustainability and aatma nirbhar.
Taki was addressing the inaugural ceremony of 28 days of Nyokum festival celebration and kickoff ceremony of sporting activities at general ground, Palin in Kra Daadi district. Taki said everyone wants to become a government servant, wants employment, business and other works but the time has come that some section of society has to go for farming and cultivation activities for harvest and our requirements of family, people and consumption. How long we shall wait for our food grains requirement from other state and in case of lockdown, bandh and blockade we may face problems so it is desired that some section has rise from selfish need and opt for agri, horti and allied activities for economic sustainability and aatma nirbhar.
While elaborating the celebration of any type of festival which has lots of messages for the society, Taki said that we have to remain united and work for the cultural and traditional identity of our tribal society for peace and development of all communities, tribes and state as a whole.
Taki said that this year the state govt has given 120 crore for agri and horti sector for supporting the section of society who prefer agri and horti sector and can obtain bank loan upto 10 lakhs to start with farming and cultivation.
He announced a building for state art of piggery and dairy development at Palin.
Thrizino-Buragoan MLA and Environment & Forest Minister Advisor Kumsi Sidisaw attending the function as guest of honour motivated the gathering for preservation of aged old cultural heritage and traditional value of tribal society.
Sidisow said that we can do whatever we are able to give back to society but we should first become a responsible citizen and serve the society for peace, prosperity and development of our area, district and state.
Festivals should be celebrated with oneness without descrimination to any religion and faith. But our tribal festival has deep rooted our cultural and traditional attachment which need to be preserved and promoted.
Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) Chairman and patron of Palin Golden jubilee celebration Byabang Taj, Tali MLA Jikke Tako, Palin-Chambang MLA Balo Raja,former MP and veteran congress leader Takam Sanjoy, KVIB Chairman Dominic Tadar also address the gathering.
Kra Daadi DC Higio Tala, SP Dusu Kaling, several leaders from BJP,ANSU general secretary Gora Rikam Bhai, several ZPMs from Kra Daadi and Lower Subansiri district, public leaders, social worker and publi of the area were present on the occasion.
The festival celebration committee executive members informed that several games and sports including traditional games and sports will be played, cultural programmes will begin from Feb 17 and main celebration will be held on 25 and lastly concluded on 28. More than 40 teams of football and volleyball have been selected from m several gram panchayat segments who will continue to play.
