ITANAGAR, APRIL 30 : The service lane in and around the underpass on National Highway-415 at Bank Tinali in the city would be ready in all respect by the end of May. Informed Capital Deputy Commissioner Incharge Talo Potom.
Potom said that, “Earlier I have given the deadline of April 27 based on the assurance of the contractor and its officials working at site, The work progress could not reach upto the deadline and ask for forgiveness from the hundreds of shopkeepers and business establishments existing in the vicinity. He said. Now we are not giving any deadline but the contractor is saying that they will be able to complete the service lane of one side by the end of May and we may be able to allow for vehicular movement.”
As per authority engineer and technical officers of the TK Engineering the pedestrian can use the service lane for their immediate purpose but would not be possible during the CC Pavement and urge upon the denizens to cooperate the working agency so that a good structure comes up and we can see a beautiful underpass. However he could not assure any time frame for the completion of underpass in all respect in view of Assam and West Bengal assembly election and also the second wave of the Covid pandemic in state of which the infection is rising and is alarming in capital complex and the administration has also announced the night curfew which may affect several project in one way of other.
Potom however assured that he will visit the site to inspect the progress of work on a daily basis even when busy in other assignments.
