Two-Day Adventure Summer Camp in Lower Subansiri District Promotes Youth Development

ZIRO, Sept 08: The Cubs-Bulbuls and Scouts/Guides of Lower Subansiri District School recently organized a thrilling two-day adventure summer camp, held at Kardo Hill from September 7th to 8th, 2023. The event received special attention from distinguished guests, including DDSE-cum-District Chief Commissioner (Scout) Lower Subansiri Tabia Chobin, Taba Nepa DAEO, and Pill Tayam District Unit ATA President.

During the camp’s closing ceremony, the Chief Guest, DC L/Subansiri Bamin Nime, emphasized the pivotal roles played by Scouts and Guides in youth development across the nation. He encouraged the participants by stressing the importance of learning as a skill that would shape their futures positively. Nime also underscored the need for acquiring various skills that can be instrumental in transforming their lives.

DTO (Scout) Yubik and the staff provided a concise overview of the two-day adventure program, showcasing the exciting activities and learning opportunities that took place during the event.

The culmination day was marked by a captivating cultural program performed by the governor awardee Scouts. More than 145 Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, and Guides, including four guide captains and four scout masters, actively participated in the adventure camp.

Special invitee Shailendra Singh, representing the 60th Battalion of ITBP, also delivered remarks, adding to the significance of this enriching summer camp experience.

This adventure summer camp not only provided youngsters with memorable experiences but also underscored the importance of skill acquisition and youth development in Lower Subansiri District.
