ITANAGAR, JULY 14 : One Army jawan has reportedly died while 7 received grievous injury when the army jawans they were travelling in a heavy vehicle met with an accident in Tuting subdivision of Upper Siang district of state on Wednesday morning.
Upper Siang SP Jummar Basar informs that as per information the heavy vehicle in which the army troop were travailing toward Tuting around 12 kilometer from Migging met with a serious accident due to inclement weather this morning between Pango and Palasi. As per information 1 jawan succumbed to injury while 5 of them have received injury. There were 11 jawans travelling in the said ill fated vehicle. SP said.
The deceased has been identified as Sepoy Jasman Singh. He said.
The injured jawans have been evacuated by army helicopter to military hospital. The jawans were of 4 Sikh Light Infantry. SP said.
A case has been registered at Tuting police station in this regard. SP added.
