1 dead, two injured in a JCB accident at JK road near Pongrung

ITANAGAR, JUNE 7: A JCB on Tuesday early morning met with an accident on Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) on Joram-Koloriang road in Kurung Kumey district and reportedly one person has died while two people have been injured.

Kurung Kumey district police sources inform that n information was received at around 9.20 hrs verbally from a local of hate village Camp Pungrung that at around 0330 hrs their JCB ( backhoe loader) operator namely Jadab Mandal (19) s/o Sunadhar Mandal of Sunapur Mazi -1 Dist -Dhemaji (Assam) along with his helper Pitul Patar and their excavator operator Rakesh Patar they left their camp to deliver bitumen at their work site but after about a distance of 2km from their camp they met with an accident at Pungrung and laying road at around 0430 hrs wherein all of them had sustained grievous injuries.

All the three in critical condition were sent to TRIHMS Naharlagun for treatment. The police sources said.

The JCB operator Jadab Mandal  at around 1630 succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The body has been handed over to the family members for conducting last rites. The sources said.

However, as per information no FIR has been submitted to police. The sources added.
