ITANAGAR, NOV 19 : The Rama Krishna Mission, on Sunday has celebrated its 125th anniversary (worldwide) in befitting manner here at Rama Krishna Mission Hospital in befitting manners. General secretary Belur Math Swami Suvirananda attended the function as chief guest and interacted the officers, officials, staffs and alumni of RK Mission schools and others.
Addressing the function, Swami Suvirananda said that ” we have just concluded 125 years and it’s a global phenomena. How did people react and its is the matter”. He said.
The 125 year of journey is a milestone. RK mission is an entity and growing from strength to strength and is only due to motivation and commitment and hard labour of all those who are attached with the mission.
He emphasis the service of humanity is the best service and we should continue to serve the humanity. He said.

He brief the life history of Swami Vivekananda. He also brief the work of RK Mission. has been carrying its services in 326 centre’s spread across the world and its successful journey impossible only by the support of all with a commitment. He added.
He further congratulated the people associated with the RK Mission and state as a whole.
Maj Gen (Rtd) Jarken Gamlin was guest of honour and address the gathering. in his address aid that the motto of RK Mission is to start with welfare of the people and world. It is providing the service to the humanity for several decades and it is possible and achieved only due to discipline and commitment. He said. We can conquer the enemy but the service to the humanity is the biggest service and is a great respect to all those are working in the service of humanity. Said Gamlin.
He urged upon the alumni to give back to the RK Mission for humanitarian services. He added.
He further appeal the Swamiji to provide advice, suggestion and extend as much as possible for the development of state and country.
Ramakrishna Math, governing body member and secretary RKM Narottam NagarSwami Achyuteshananda, RK Mission Hospital Itanagar Secretary Swami Vedasaranana, Dr Lobsang Tsetim among other also address the function.
