NAHARLAGUN, JULY 27 ; Several leaders from All Capital Complex Commercial Transport Welfare Association (ACCTWA) today met the Itanagar municipal corporation (IMC) Mayor Tame Phasang and submitted a memorandum regarding the parking issue in various parts of the capital complex.
ACCCTWA President Tacho Dayum Gungli inform that a team of several members and executive members of the organization today jointly meet the IMC Mayor and submitted a memorandum pertaining to the parking problem which is a great problem for the commercial vehicles operating in the Itanagar capital complex. Dacho said.
We have a good discussion on the issue and the Mayor has patiently listened to the problems being faced by the commercial vehicle owners and drivers in the capital complex. All the problems have arisen in the past few years due to absence of parking space earlier available and either been occupied or encroached upon or otherwise due to ongoing road construction in the capital complex. He said.
The road construction of NH-415n from Hollongi to Papunallah is almost completed but there is no proper and permanent parking space for proper commercial vehicle passengers waiting shed
There may be provision of a parking stand and parking shed in the tender for construction of four lane road from Chandannagar to Papu nallah but no special parking stand and shed has been constructed. He said.
The team of several organisation of commercial vehicle has sought the intervention of IMC Mayor and also urge upon to notified for parking place for the various categories of commercial vehicle of the Itanagar Capital Complex like auto Tempo, Trekker, Truck, Buses, Taxi, Tata Mobile and carriage Tempo etc in different location. Tacho said.
The mayor has assured to take up the issue in the greater interest of public service. Tacho added.
The memorandum also include to earmark for parking space, parking place, parking shed, parking stand in the upcoming four lane road from Papunallah to Banderdewa
