AISU and NYWA to go with a 24 hours bandh call on August 2

ITANAGAR, AUGUST 1 ; The Arunachal Indigenous Students Union (AISU) and Nyishi Youth Welfare Association ( NYWA) to go ahead with the 24 hours capital bandh call on August 2nd.

We have announced the 24 hours capital band on July 23rd through the media and we are standing by it. We have not had any negotiation with any top of government on any of the charter of demand set before. Informed President, NYWA, Tai Talley over phone.

We have no option but to go to democratic movement for fulfillment of the charter of demand submitted to the state govt on several occasions. Said Talley.

It is to mention that on July 23rd the both that the NYWA President Tai Talley and AISU Chairman Techi Talik have jointly declared the 24th hours capital bandh on August to press the government for fulfillment of 6 carter of demand which include Non floating of NIT under GeM Portal for procurement of medical equipments, immediate repeal of Arunachal Pradesh District Based enterprise and Professional (Incentive development and professional) entrepreneurs act 2015 ACT, immediate annulment of Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 2014 ,cancellation of 3 number of ST certificates illegally issued to Tibetan refugees, renaming of Indira Gandhi Park as Abotani Park , introduction of chapter about Arunachal Pradesh in NCERT syllabus were organisation key demands.

In a video release by AISU Chairman Techi Talik has urged the general public to support the 24th hour capital bandh on August 2nd and try to understand the genuine demand placed before the state government.

The capital district magistrate on July 28 has declared the 24 hour capital bandh as illegal.

Meanwhile, the chief secretary in an order has directed that all government offices/establishments will function normally and all government employees including contingency staff, should attend office without fail as per standard covid protocol and carry their identity card. Any action to prevent government servants from performing or attending duty will be dealt with strictly as per law. The order said.

The order wide No-GA/Misc/1/2021 dated August 1st issued by general administration, AP Civil Sectt, Itanagar said that all HoDs/ HoOs will ensure normal functioning of the offices and submit attendance to the office of the chief secretary. The order was added.
