ITANAGAR, The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has demanded immediate release of Arunachalee boy who was abducted on January 18 last from Upper Siang district of state by the PLA before the Republic day celebration.

While condemning the incident the APCC general Secretary and Spokesperson J Kadu has condemned the abduction of a young boy from the last Indian village of Bishing in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh at gunpoint by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China as per information. It was an abduction and since then the people of the area are in fear and they have no information and whereabouts of their children. He said.

We have contacted the parents and they are in great fear for their child and praying for immediate and safe release of their ward. The Spokesperson said.

He also condemns the way the state government and central government are taking up the issue so casually. While lauding the concern of Arunachal East MP Tapir Gao raised the question who is also from the same ruling BJP party and silence of union minister for Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju who is also a member of parliament from Arunachal West. He said.

This is not a political issue but is a serious issue and time and again the China’s PLA is doing such acts should be taken up at the highest level so that such incidents are not repeated again and again and sought the support of all stakeholders including the leaders of all communities, NGOs etc to raise the voice.

As per the Indian media and defense sources a missing boy has been found in China quoting the PLA sources but the Indian media should have written as abducted as the boy was abducted not missing. The clear-cut identity of the said boy should have been made cleared  The congress spokesperson claimed.

Miram Taron, 17 year from Zido village, District Upper Siang, Arunachal Pradesh, was allegedly abducted on the evening of 18 January, last at around 6:30 PM, near Siungla, from a forest called Lungta Jor under Indian Territory by the PLA, He was allegedly abducted from the last Indian border village Bishing under Tuting Subdivision, in Upper Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh,

We are not against any political party and organization but the issue should have been taken up seriously as our state is located in the frontier east and the central government should have given priority like Jammu & Kashmir and other Indian states bordering China and Pakistan etc. he said.

Earlier last year, a similar incident took place, when 5 men got abducted by the PLA in Upper Subansiri district.

ZPM Pema Lapchi of Payindem Gelling/Singa block informed that Miram Taron, along with his friend Johnny Yaying, aged 27 were out on hunting, Johnny managed to escape, while Miram got abducted supposedly.
