Manoj Singh || NAHARLAGUN, NOV 24 : The Itanagar capital complex local MLA Techi Kaso on Thursday has announced for allowing of vehicular movement for the commuters of capital complex and state as a new year gift.
Talking to reporters after inspection of the Arch bridge. MLA Kaso said that we have waited long for the said bridge and the wait is almost over and the last work of side wall has only left for construction followed by finishing work and paining and decoration.
There were several factors which has delayed the much needed bridge over river Pachin which include change in design and diagram and change in estimate form single lane to double lane, the two year Covid pendamic has also added to the delay in construction. Said MLA Kaso.
This bridge will be connected with another under-construction railway bridge with National Highway-515 and Naharlagun Railway station and would be beneficial for the thousands of commuters and general public who are attending their official works at district headquarter at Yupia and Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) leading toward several district of state and even to international boundary. Said Kaso.
Once the bridge is opened for commuters and another bridge also completed the construction of four lane road of Package B of Naharlagun-Nirjuli and Package C of Nirjuli-Banderdewa would be fastened Said Kaso.
I have pursued with the government for providing fund of construction of a small bridge and approach road connecting between these two bridge which would pace way for providing smooth connectivity to the commuters of capital complex and the passengers going to and fro railway station. Added Kaso.
I have given a date for inauguration of the beautiful arch bridge on Pachin river so it is the responsibility fo the various department to work together for immediate completion of the remaining works and paining and finishing and a beautiful gift to the people of capital complex and state as a whole.
It is to mention that the 90 meter Arch bridge is being constructed by PWD Naharlagun division with an estimated cost of 20.49 Crore. The bridge is having the facility for foot path on both side. This would be one of the most beautiful bridge ever constructed by state PWD.
