Arunachal Taekwondo Team Secures Victory at 37th National Games in Goa

Naharlagun, Nov 03: The Arunachal Taekwondo Team showcased their exceptional skills at the 37th National Games in Goa, culminating in an impressive medal haul of 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 3 Bronze.

In a display of precision and grace, Miss Radha Bangsia claimed the Gold medal in the Pair Poomsae category, while Miss Khinsan Wangsu triumphed in the Female Group Poomsae, earning another Gold for the Arunachal team. Not to be outdone, Miss Achum Sangha secured a third Gold in the Female Group Poomsae, and Miss Lumter Uli contributed a fourth Gold in the Group Poomsae event. Mr. Ontey Khamblai’s splendid performance in Pair Poomsae added to the Gold medal count.

Adding to the team’s accolades, Miss Muskan Manyu clinched the Silver Medal in the under 49 Kg Female Kyurogi, further highlighting the Arunachal team’s versatility and talent.

Bronze medals were won by Mr. Miching Taja, Miss Rikpy Nyodu, Mr. Kame Bayang, and Mr. Ontey Khamblai in various categories, solidifying their commendable performances.

Arunachal Olympic Association, president, and education minister Taba Tedir congratulate all the team over telephone and wished best for their future. 

Arunachal Taekwondo Association (ATA) General Secretary & team Manager, Likha Robin, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all the players for their exceptional achievements, and Coach Ranjit Biswakarma commended the athletes for their outstanding performances. The ATA and Coach Biswakarma both expressed hope for the team’s continued success and growth in upcoming competitions.

Chef de mission, Bulang Marik and L Sokun Singh, Taekwondo Federation of India senior vice president, provided valuable guidance to the players, and support and encouragement for the athletes, both winners and losers. RD Mangeuskar, Secretary General, Taekwondo Federation of India, and Santosh Mohanty, Vice President TFI also congratulated all the players.
