Concerns over Declining Enrollment in Lower Subansiri District; Meeting Held to Address the Issue

๐๐Ž๐“๐ˆ๐, ๐Ÿ’ ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ||It is a clarion call to the education department of Lower Subansiri and its efforts to improve students enrollment in various schools of Lower Subansiri District.

The number of students’ enrollment in government schools has been dropping off day by day and there has been increase in children’s enrollment in private schools.

The biggest decline in enrollment in government Upper Primary school Potin this year 2023-24 filled sufficiently with teachers is a matter of serious concern for the DDSE Lower Subansiri and its various functionaries.

After a successful stint observation of low enrollment in the new accademic session,the meeting of the School Management Committee (SMC) comprising of parents, representatives of the local community, school teachers convened a grand meeting which was held here today at GUPS Potin.

“The meeting with parents,SMC and teachers was rewarded for their contemplation and ratification”, said Chobin.

Apart from the physical requirements of the school like crucial learning methodologies for Pre-primary -classrooms, furniture, toilet rooms, etc, the status of learning activities in the schools were also closely examined by the DDSE Lower Subansiri Tabia Chobin,DAEO Taba Nepa, DPC Nangram Kayum BRC Chukhu Epa,C RC Likha Pekhi

The DDSE said while attending the meeting that the officials had recorded some burning issues placed by the SMC and Teachers to sort out the matter shortly.
