The DBT-APSCS&T Centre of Excellence for Bioresources and Sustainable Development in Kimin, Arunachal Pradesh, showcased its cutting-edge achievements at the “World Aroma Ingredients Congress & Expo 2024” held in Chennai. The prestigious event, organized by Fragrance & Flavour Development Centre, Ministry of MSME, Kannauj, and Essential Oil Association of India, gathered global experts, scientists, and industry enthusiasts from February 8th to 10th, 2024.
Dr. Debajit Mahanta, the Project Director of DBT-APSCS&T CoE for BRSD Kimin, was a distinguished speaker at the event, discussing the center’s contributions to essential oils, fragrance research, and aroma-based entrepreneurial opportunities in Arunachal Pradesh. Delegates from 27 countries attended, including prominent scientists and directors from leading institutions in the field.
The Centre took the spotlight by presenting innovative aroma products, drawing significant interest from industrialists impressed by the quality of essential oils. Many expressed their eagerness to visit the Centre of Excellence in Kimin, highlighting the potential for investments and collaborations in research and development within Arunachal Pradesh.
