Yingkiong, Feb 15: The District Child Protection Unit, operating under the Department of Women and Child, organized a comprehensive orientation program on February 15, 2025, in Yingkiong. Notable speakers included Akoying Tekseng, Legal cum Probation Officer of DCPU, Adv. Tapang Tabing, and Adv. Geni Pangkam from DLSA.
The program saw active participation from officials representing CWC, JJB, SJPU, DLSA, and various departments. Key topics covered during the sessions included Adoption Regulation, Juvenile Justice Act and Rule, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POCSO Act).
