Fire mishap at Wakka, 5 structure burned into ash while six person injured

WAKKA, APRIL 12: In yet another fire accident which broke out in Power colony at Wakka, a sub-division headquarter of  under Longdlng district at around 6 PM on Sunday. Informed Longding Deputy Commissioner Bani Lego.

Five residential houses including one 1 Type-I government quarter and three Shops were burnt to ash and another four houses partially damaged in the incident. He said.

As per information of Circle Officer the fire started from  the house  of one  Manoj Rai, a shopkeeper due to electric short circuit. He said.

The fire was finally doused off with help from the Assam Rifles regiment  stationed in the township and locals which took around two hours.

No casualty has been reported however six person has been injured in the mishap. The injured persons were given due medical care and they are all in stable condition as of now. The Deputy Commissioner said in a message send to state government.

The six person received Injury  during the fire accident which include Tolong Pansa 30 years (20% burn injury),  Khamching  Gangsa •26 years, Lemgang Gangsa- 30 years, Samseng Gangsa – 20 years, Pomya Pangsa -16 years and Mita Paul,wife of Shri Sajal Paul. The message said.

Immediate relief amounting to a total of Rs 3800/• (Rupees Three Thousandand Eight hundred only) has been disbursed to five families.

 It is to state that several fire accidents are occurring in various parts of  state of which the major fire incident at of Longliang, Senua (Noksa),  BoaSimla, Capital Complex and other and there is a need of creating mass awareness as how to remain safe during such accident and how to avert from such incident.

   Meanwhile, local MLA and RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam has raised serious concern on repeated fire incident in various parts of state with lost of life and property including that of Longliang, Senua (Noksa) and now at Wakka within a span of one month. Ngandam announced to provide 60 piece of CGI sheet to the fire victims.
