TEZU, 22 April: Lohit launched its first feature film ‘ATILA’ in a simple premier show here on 21st April evening at Denning Keba College amidst much fortitude.
The much awaited Mishmi film in Hindi language is first of its kind in the district which was heartily applauded by the Laisam Simai Adviser IPR & Tourism as a chief guest and various other guests participated on the show.
Terming the film an eye opener for the society against drug abuse, Simai said that the film equally promotes art, culture, creativity and ability in youths to expose. “Film in Arunachal is a new industry and will engage many unemployed youth. Without government support the film ATILA has made a debut which is historic and our government will extend all support to screen it in the 3rd Arunachal Film Festival to be held this year”, promises the Adviser.
As a guest of honour, Dr Mohesh Chai, Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Mineral Development & Trading Cooperation Limited (APMD&TC) expressed hope for better exposure of the film. He said there were many attempts made to shot film but failed. “ATILA first Mishmi film will be written in red letters in the history of Lohit district. The Producer, Director and entire team of film paid much effort and made it successful. I deeply congratulate them for their endeavor”, he expresses.
Earlier with a smile in his face Bablalum Chiba before launching of the show highlighted about the arduous hours during the film shooting and said it’s a moment of elation the first film is ready for screen. “The film is all about drug Abuse, the Mafia and women empowerment. It will be an eye opener for those who are entangled in these vicious cycles of drug abuse”, he says. The Producer also ardently appealed to everyone to support and enjoy the film.
Among other, Nakul Chai former Minister, Balong Tindiya ZPM, Sange Thinley Deputy SP Lohit, Sotai Kri senior BJP member, Sobreng Tayang the first film owner of Tezu, All Mishmi Women Welfare Society President and member, media fraternity also attended the premier show.
Chau Adham Munglang is the Director, Bablalum Chiba Producer, however Jabralum Chaitom, Bajemso Krong, Soloi Ngadong, Lucy Mepong, Reshamlu Billai etc are the main actors of the film.
