Govt. Secondary school shows an example of unity in diversity

NAHARLAGUN, SEPT 15 ; The Government Secondary School here at G Sector in the capital complex is trying its best effort to promote vocal for local and is one of the best schools in the capital complex and Papum Pare district to promote unity in diversity and patriotism.

The Headmistress of Govt Secondary School Tarh Yaku informed that the school was established several years back which was earlier primary school and upgraded to middle and then to Secondary school.  As of now the school is having the best infrastructure which was upgraded into a good campus only a few years back. The school is catering to the local needs of the area. Due to covid 19 pandemic the education sector has also been badly affected however the teaching fraternity has tried its best effort to put out all its resources and manpower to maintain the online classes and the teachers has been in proper contact with the students community.

Apart from giving education and games and games and sport the school is also having a library and scouts and guide facility. She said.

We are trying our best effort to promote local tradition and culture and also advocate vocals for locals. The state government order to maintain local for vocal is also being properly implemented. The orders issued by the state government that every government servant should wear local traditional dress to promote local tradition and would help the people associated with weaving craft and traditional dress marketing and economic developments. She said.

Our school has also simultaneously obeyed the order of the Directorate of school education for offline classes from IX to X from Sept 1 and for Class I to VIII from Sept 13 with strict Covid protocol. She said.

All the classes have started but we have always been trying to maintain unity in diversity so that the moral values of the students remain intact and always maintain brotherhood. She said adding that not only the local tribal students has been wearing the traditional dress but the children’s form respective community and tribes of the country can wear any traditional dress which has motivated the teaching faculty and almost all the teaching faculty are now a days wearing their own traditional dress on every Wednesday and on every 16th day of every month. Yaku added.

IMC Corporator Tarh Achak informed that we are trying best to maintain the school in the best possible way, there are requirements of teaching staff and we will pursue it with the education department soon. A proposal for adopting the said school by Itanagar municipal corporation (IMC) is also there and I hope the school becomes one of the best government schools in the capital complex but needs proper support from education department and state government and cooperation of the parents and general public and locality. Achak added.  

He further appealed to the education department to post some more teaching faculty and non teaching staff for the better. At present there are 1094 students with around 30 teaching staff.
