Horticulture training course successfully concludes in East Siang district

The Department of Horticulture in East Siang District, Pasighat, has concluded its foundation training course for field staff, marking a significant milestone in enhancing agricultural expertise within the region. The closing ceremony, held today on March 13, 2024, at the Mushroom Development Centre Training Hall at GTC Pasighat, saw esteemed dignitaries grace the occasion.

Dr. B. N. Hazarika, Dean of the College of Horticulture and Forestry (CHF), Tajing Padung, PD of DRDA East Siang, and Dr. P. Raja, Professor at CHF, attended as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and Special Guest respectively. Miss A.R. Ering, District Horticulture Officer, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, emphasizing the importance of the training program.

In his address, Chief Guest Dr. B.N. Hazarika commended the efforts of the horticulture team in hosting the state-level training and encouraged trainees to apply their newfound knowledge effectively. He also highlighted the significant prospects of horticulture in Arunachal Pradesh. Tajing Padung, PD DRDA Pasighat, stressed the pivotal role of horticulture in the Indian economy and urged trainees to discharge their duties with sincerity.

Dr. P. Raja, as the Special Guest, congratulated the department on the successful completion of the training course. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Oyin Tayeng, SDHO Pasighat, and was attended by other notable figures such as Dr. Aido Taloh, HDO Ruksin, and Nuka Dai HDO Bilat.

Certificates were distributed to the trainees, symbolizing their completion of the course and readiness to contribute to the horticulture sector in East Siang District.
