IGP (LO) Chukhu Apa reviewed partial lockdowns in various parts of Papum Pare district

NAHARLAGUN, Jun 17: The IGP Law and Order Chukhu Apa visited various nakas of ICR to review the implementation of the partial lockdown measures. Talking to media here at Papu Nallah police picket, IGP Apa expressed concern over the failure of the citizens to follow the partial lockdown measures.

 “Everybody has their own excuses for being out on the road. It is very difficult to handle people in such a situation. People should follow partial lockdown for their own safety,” said IGP Apa.

He also urged people to cooperate with police in implementing the partial lockdown measures.

 “Police don’t enjoy being on the road. We are here to implement a lockdown to stop the spread of viruses. I appeal to people not to go out unless there is urgent work,” added Apa.

All the frontline workers and others who are associated in fight against the spread of coronavirus and dedicatedly contributing their time and energy and it should be our endeavour to reciprocate them with respect and support and in such time the general public should understand the time and situation need to understand the Covid behavior to remain safe and secure from the infection. IGP further said.
