ITANAGAR, FEB 9 : The Indane composite LPG Cylinder has been launched at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh by IOCL on Wednesday.
Addressing the launching ceremony here at M/S Donyi Polo Gas Agency at Gopur Tinali, Divisional LPG head, Tinsuki Divisional Office Gunajit Barua said that the new Indane Composite Cylinders of IOCL is a lighter to carry and handle by housewife and person dealing with cooking in kitchen.
“Composite cylinder is a new type of cylinders introduced by IOCL in the markets. It is a three layer cylinder made up of blow-molded HDPE inner liner, covered with composite layer of polymer-wrapped fiber glass and fitted with a HDPE outer jacket”. Barua said.
In comparison with existing steel cylinders the Composite Cylinders are lighter in weight. Besides being lighter in weight, the Composite Cylinders have aesthetic look, translucent body for checking LPG level and are rust free. He said.
Presently composite cylinders which are being made available in Itanagar is of 10.0kg capacity. Barua added.
The launching ceremony was held in presence of several dignetories. The 1st Composite cylinder was handed to consumer Gemar Loya of Itanagar.
During the function Nobin Tage (SLC Arunachal Pradesh, IOCL), Kushal Kumar Nath (Manager LPG sales) North Lakhimpur LPG sales Area, IOCL and Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Corporater Loklam Ananad also address the function.
The IOCL officials have expressed confidence that Composite cylinders will get immediate acceptance among the residents of Itanagar because of its advance features.
As per information there are around 149210 consumers from 11 district of Arunachal Pradesh with 34 distributors and 156000 consumers in 1 district of Assam with 9 distributors under North Lakhimpur sales area.
