Lakhimpur district Police appeal public to help in identification of a drowned woman found in Dikrong River

ITANAGAR, APRIL 17 : The North Lakhimpur district police on Saturday has appeal the general public to help in identification of a body of a women retrieved from Dikrong river from Parbatipur area in Harmuti Outpost under Laluk Police station and suspected to be case of drowning.

The Laluk Police station OC  Nayan Jyoti Deka  inform that a ” an unidentified dead body of a woman found at Dikrong river bed on 16-04-22 early morning under harmuti out post (OP) of Laluk Police station,  Age probably look like of 38-42 with a tribal look,  Kindly cause an enquiry in your respective jurisdiction.. If found any link kindly communicate to OC Laluk Police station for identification and further processing”.

Laluk PS OC Deka inform that information has been passed on to all the nearest police stationn of North Lakhimpur district of Assam and in Arunachal Pradeah bordering Papum Pare and Capital complex so that the respective police can share if any information related to the case is found.He said.

The body has been kept at Morgue at North Lakhimpur and will be disposed off as per law if no information is received from.any corner. He said.

A case OF unnatural death (UD) has been registered at Laluk PS and further investigation has been launched.added OC Laluk.

Meanwhile, when contacted Doimukh Police station OC Inspector Inya Ete, Nirjuli PS OC incharge Surendra Singh, Banderdewa PS OC Inspector Tadu Hassang and Naharlagun PS OC Inspector Kiksi Yangfo that as of now no missing report of any young women and aged group stated has been reported to Police station. However we are also in touch with other people for.any such missing womens in respective jurisdiction. He said.
