Late Dr. Toko Papu laid to rest. Tedir, Kaso and others take part in the funeral service and last rites

NIRJULI, AUGUST 28 : Late Dr Toko Papu daughter of Toko Kach who passed away on Saturday was laid to rest at her residence here at Nirjuli. The funeral service and last rite was performed on Sunday. Hundreds of people from all walks of life take part in the funeral service and last rite. Minister Taba Tedir, MLA Techi Kaso and others take part.

Late Papu who was serving at the Yazali CHC as dental surgeon, breathed her last at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences  (TRIHMS) Naharlagun on 27 August and was under treatment for the past few months. She was 36 years old.

Dr Papu hailed from Deed village in Lower Subansiri district. She did her schooling from Polo colony government school and Yazali and graduated from SRM Dental College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in 2010, and her orthodontic residency programme from the Indian Institute of Orthodontics, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in 2012.

Several organization and eminent personalities have sent their condolences and messages to bereaved families. The state branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) expressed deep shock and grief over the untimely demise of Dr Papu, and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. The press statement was sent by its president Dr. O Pertin and others.

Toko Welfare Association (TWA) president Toko Audil and General secretary paid deepest condolences to the family and stood by the critical time and prayed for eternal peace of departed souls in heavenly abode. 

Yachuli constituency Christian forum (YCCF) and several other orgnisation has also send the condolences message to the family members and the community leader and pray for the eternal peace of departed soul.

Father Toko Kachi in his address said that my daughter was a very proactive and hardworking officer who worked beyond the call of duties. Her contributions in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic were outstanding and always looked forward to the service of humanity being a youth leader of his own area.

She has always been like my son and she was very sincere toward her duty even though there was a holiday she preferred to shoulder her responsibility. I have lost my daughter who was like a friend. He thanks each and everyone those who stood behind the family during the hour of crisis. Kach added.

Arunachal Pradesh Education and cultural affairs Minister Taba Tedir, Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso, former MLA LIkah Saaya, entrepreneur LIKha Maaj, Arunachal Christian forum (ACF) President Toko Teki, NBCC President Nabam Apo and several family members, relatives, well-wishers, officers and staffs of NERIST, local officers and public leaders, businessmen and general public take part in peace rally and last rite and funeral service which were carried in Nirjuili Church and at her resident.

Minister Taba Tedir, MLA Techi Kaso and former lawmaker Likha Saaya and entrepreneur LIkha Maaj paid floral tribute and deep condolences and prayed for eternal peace of departed souls in heavenly abode. The dignitaries also took part in a prayer service which was organised at Nirjuli church in the afternoon.
