ITANAGAR, APRIL 18 ; Hundreds of members from various organization of Galo community today staged protest march form Akashdeep complex to Mopin Solung ground at 0 Point Tinali in city demanding the arrest of accused involved in the vandalizing the Mopin solung festival celebration ground stages materials etc.
Speaking to media, Galo Peoples Federation (GPF) President Doya Boje said that it is very unfortunate incident which took place on April 1 at Mopin Solung ground, 0 Point Tinali few day before the celebration of Mopin festival. Someone has vandalized several items kept at the festival ground without any reason. We m have files FIR at Itanagar Police station but the accused responsible for the vandalizing is not yet arrested.
We have approached the Capital SP and Itanagar PS OC but no action has been taken so far. He said.
We have also protested outside the Itanagar police station recently and demanding justice that the accused responsible should be arrested without delay.
We have submitted memorandum to Home department and even to Chief Minister in this regard. Boje added.
