NAHARLAGUN, Aug 10: The Minister for Civil Aviation, Transport & Tourism Nakap Nalo on Wednesday has released the ‘Helicopter Operations Handbook’, in a simple ceremony in presence of Swapnil. M. Naik Secretary (CA) here today Helipad premises for the benefit of the passengers and officials of the department.
Speaking on the occasion, the civil aviation Minister Nakap Nalo said that as a civil aviation Minister I am very happy because day by day the air connectivity improving and advance landing ground and helped, helipots are also under construction at various places in state. and also the increase in numbers helicopter.
Today we launched a handbook or guideline of civil aviation, which is the backbone of the civil aviation department and it will be very much helpful for staff of the department of state civil aviation and also passengers.
In this handbook staff and passengers can get the information of special operation procedure (SOP) for Fixing helicopter flight program of state and also weekly helicopter passenger services and also the rate and stoppages of the helicopter services of Arunachal Pradesh. He added.
He also believed that from today helicopter service will be run as per norms and passengers were also following the rules of helicopter service.
Further he also disclosed that due to lack of air connectivity to Arunachal Pradesh many tourists failed to reach Arunachal Pradesh. And after the functioning of Hollongi airport our helicopter services will also increase and soon the service of fixed wing aircraft will start functioning from Ziro and will connect Pasighat, Tezu and Hollongi airport. He added.
He further said that the government of India has approved more helipads and advanced landing grounds and the procedure to start the work has already began. The Minister further said.
Tamuna Messar, Director Civil Aviation (CA) informed that ‘Helicopters at present we have three helicopters connecting maximum interior parts of Arunachal Pradesh Which are not easily covered by road connectivity.
And this book is standard operating procedures with compilation of various SOP’s, guidelines and important information about Helicopter operation systems. The book has helicopter operation and need of SoP, charter of duty of officers concerned, procedure of hire helicopter by the state, requisition of helicopter for VVIP, VIP, medical purpose, government department, requisition of defense helicopter for VIPs by state government, landing of civil and defense helicopter, electioneering duty availability of fuel and fueling, provision of seat quota for various stations. He said.
The security of helipads, safety parameters handling of passengers and passengers luggage, collection of revenue, payments of revenue and bills, fare list and seat quota and responsibility of state government and helicopter operators all we can find in this handbook, from time to time depending on the requirement we may update and modify the rulers and regulation. Director Messor said.
The handbook will be distributed among the officers and officials of the Civil aviation and passengers on availability for better knowledge among the passengers and officials. He added.
He also requested the passengers to read the handbook .
The program was attended by senior officers, officials, staff and pilots.
