ITANAGAR, Mar 25: State Civil Aviation Minister Nakap Nalo, projecting the huge potential in eco and adventure tourism in Arunachal and thereby the demand for building up of a comprehensive aviation network to tap the huge potential, invited all stakeholders to invest in the state’s aviation sector.
Nalo was addressing a gathering at the Wings India 2022, Asia’s largest event for commercial, general and business aviation, being held with ‘India@75: New Horizon for Aviation Industry’, as the main theme at Hyderabad from March 24 and would conclude on March 27.
Nalo invited the Ministers of France, Laos and Nepal to visit Arunachal Pradesh with their stakeholders for exploring investment in aviation business.
Nalo told the gathering about the geographical vastness of the state having an international boundary with Bhutan, Tibet (China) and Myanmar and the scenic beauty of Arunachal with its salubrious climate, undulating mountains, rich flora and fauna and sparkling rivers and valleys.
He also welcomed the investors, developers, operators, etc., in the house to visit Arunachal Pradesh to study the opportunities and venture in aviation business in the State.
Arunachal has been awarded best emerging state in Civil Aviation, the award was received by state Civil Aviation Secretary Swapnil Naik..
A 3-member delegation of the government of Arunachal Pradesh headed by Nakap Nalo, Swapnil M Naik, and Priyam Borthakur, Assistant Director (Civil Aviation) attended the event.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia said that the government will be a constructive collaborator with all stakeholders of the aviation sector and work with them for the development of Civil Aviation in the country.
Formally inaugurating Wings India 2022 at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad today, he said “We don’t believe in square tables, we believe in roundtables at our Ministry to ensure the success of this sector and our country at large.”
The inaugural session was attended by. Jean Baptiste Djebbari, French Minister of State for Transport, Minister for Ecological Transition, France; Ngampasong Muongmany, Vice Minister of Public Works and Transport, Laos, Prem Bahadur Ale, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dushyant Chautala, Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.
Swapnil M Naik had one-to-one interaction with CEOs/Executives of different Airline Operators, Developers and manufacturers and appealed to them to visit Arunachal Pradesh to study the scope of investment and participation in aviation activities.
The event has been organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India along with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
On behalf of the state government and people of Arunachal the Civil Aviation Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya M. Scindia for taking the initiative to give air connectivity to the state.
