National Road Safety day observed in Itanagar

Itanagar: The National Road Safety Day was celebrated in the city and participated by hundreds of people including drivers and vehicle owners of various commercial vehicles who took part in mass awareness on traffic.

A rally was organised from RK Mission Hospital to Zero point Itanagar who discussed various Traffic rules for own and others safety and also the  Consequences of not following the Law . The Programme was an initiative of Capital Police led by City SP Jimmy Chiram and supported by several leaders of transport federation and few members of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) and others.

City SP Jimmy Chiram has urged upon the  people  to Strictly Obey the Traffic Rules and help Our City Have a free and Safe City

SP appeal the drivers and vehicle owners to abide the traffic law and also keep the vehicle document up-to-date so that there is no amy harassment being made by traffic police on duty anyplace and any time 

He also appeals to all the two wheeler riders to maintain a helmet all the time while driving and the most is don’t mix drinking with driving.

The new traffic rule is very strict and the fine/penalty is also too high so it is better to avoid violation of traffic rules as a safety measure to save life.

SDPO Itanagar Kamdam.Sikom,  DySP Traffic Nobin Jomoh, Itanagar OC PS Itanagar Phassang Simi, OC traffic Inspector Chetry and dozens of traffic police and traffic wardens take part in the rally.
