Sub-inspector Sanjay Kri, the officer in-charge of Kaying police station in Arunachal Pradesh’s Siang District, was found dead by suicide on Monday morning. The Superintendent of Police (SP) Siang, Opir Paron confirmed the tragic news.
The lifeless body of Sub-inspector Sanjay Kri, who hailed from Tezu in Lohit district, was discovered hanging inside the generator room of the Kaying police station at around 6:30 am. The reasons behind his decision to take such a drastic step are currently unknown.
Authorities acted swiftly, registering a case of unnatural death and launching an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident.
Following the completion of postmortem procedures, the deceased officer’s body has been handed over to his family for the final rites.
