Rijiju inaugurated the  beginning of golden jubilee Nyokum Yullo festival celebration at Seppa.

ITANAGAR, FEB 17 : The union Minister for Law and Justice on Thursday has inaugurated the beginning of the golden jubilee Nyokum Yullo festival celebration at Seppa, the district headquarter of East Kameng district amid a huge gathering.

Addressing the beginning of the one of the ” Nyokum ” the biggest festival of the Nyishi tribe the biggest tribe of state said that the festival fosters the message of unity and integrity and brotherhood and communal harmony.among each other. At the same time the festival unites the people and gives an opportunity to promote the deep rooted traditional.value and ethos of the society and urge upon each and every member of society to work for preservation of tradition and culture of society.

We tribals are innocent and we need to respect our elders and love our youngers and always insist that whatever we work and pray should be focused without descrimination to others and we should always love pur culture and tradition which identify us from others.

The minister for WRD, Environment & Forest, Sports & Youth Affairs Mama Natung also address the occassion and thanks the people for constant support and cooperation for the grand celebration of the golden jublee Nyokum yullo festival on February 26.

On behalf of general public Natung submitted two point genuine demand of the public of East Kameng district which include  

seprate session court for East kameng district bifurcation from the session court of all three district of Tawang, West Kameng and East Kameng at Bomdila,  upgradation of general ground at Seppa of which the proposed has been submitted to sports & Youth Affairs Ministry, GoI.

Basar MLA Gokar Basar attended the opening ceremony as guest of honour and addressed the gathering. GJNYCC Chairman Dr. Tachi Taku and other senior leaders of the society address the gathering.

Lawmaker Hayang Mangfi, Goruk Pordung, Tapuk Taku, Leaders and executive members from EKSCO, AEKDSU, social, political leaders, general public and others were present on the occasion.

The dignetories also visited the Namlo, traditional hits and exhibition shows and interacted with leaders and witnessed the mega cultural display by various cultural troops of the district and others.
