RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam review progress of PMGSY scheme

ITANAGAR, APRIL 28: The RWD, Science & Technology Minister Honchun Ngandam has emphasized the officers specially the engineers of RWD department to put extra effort for completion of work with a quality before March 2022 which would add to the progress of state development.
Addressing the review meeting of the work progress of PMGSY scheme of state on roster basis in view of Covid pandemic here at the conference hall of the Gramin Nirman Bhawan at Bank Tinali today has said that our works should be for the betterment of public service. We are equally responsible for progress and development of the state as connectivity is the mother of all development.He said.
He informed that 355 rural roads were taken up in PMGSY- I with 2506 KM while 80 roads were taken in PMGSY-II with 407.91 KM. There was a target given for all the projects so that new proposals are taken up in 3rd phase/stage. He said.

‘ I have directed the Programme Implementation Unit (PIU) who is an executive engineer to carry forward their works and execute the remaining works with a quality. He said.
There are 6 circles and 34 PIUs in RWD dealing with the PMGSY scheme in the state headed by Chief Engineer D Nyodu. Due to SoP to fight Covid pandamic we convene the review meeting on shift wise and completed in two days. He said.
Several projects which were already delayed by four to five year and instructed to complete all these projects by end of March,2022.

RWD Secretary NT Glow warned the staff to carry forward the given assignment. He said the specific works need to be executed in time bound manners or else officers will be removed and posted to other places.

D. Nyodu, Chief Engineer, PMGSY stresses on the progress on PMGSY-I & II and also directs all field engineers to prepare the DPRs for PMGSY-III programme. N. Rigia, SE, PMGSY also briefed about the update of online data for all the projects. O. Tatak, ITNO briefed all the field engineers about the progress of maintenance through e-Marg.

It is to mention that this year the state government has to send the schemes based on priority and requirement for the masses for measures around 1375 KM from the state for consideration of the government of India.
