SIT arrests 1 person for allegedly issuing fake job certificates

ITANAGAR, Sep 8: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Arunachal Pradesh Police has arrested one Tara Tagin, general secretary of Arunachal Taekwondo Association for allegedly issuing fake certificates of international, national and regional Taekwondo events to candidates applying for sports quota in the government jobs. Briefing press the SP SIT incharge Bosco George said the arrested person has been reminded for 8 days police custody.

“An FIR was lodged by Arunachal Taekwondo Association president Kipa Kaha in Month of June alleging that fake certificates were issued using the name of association to applicants for the post of PGT, TGT in Education Deptt & JE in power Deptt etc. After a detailed investigation a report was submitted on July 6 and based on the report an offence was drawn, a case was registered and further investigation was done. He said.

It was found that the Tara Tagin general secretary of the Taekwondo association had signed a certificate and was summoned but Tara Tagin applied for anticipatory bail which was rejected. On 4th September he was arrested,” said SP George. He said candidates were issued fake certificates of participation in various international, national and regional Taekwondo events and won medals of participation however, in reality it was different.

“The candidates who used such a fraudulent method will also be questioned soon. Such malicious acts of job seekers in association with officials of Sports Association/organisation will deprive all deserving candidates who actually have won laurels in different sporting events,” the SP added.

Interrogation is going on and whoever comes to light we will take legal action. SP added.
