Yupia, Apr 22 : The strong room for keeping the EVMs/ VVPADs and other election materials established at Golden jubilee outdoor stadium (GJOS) Yupia is safe and secure and all the election materials has been kept safely with round the clock of security coverage as per guidelines of the Election commission of India (ECI). Said Papum Pare Deputy commissioner cum District election officer Jiken Bomjen.
The Yupia DEO inform the media that as per the guidelines of the ECI all the provision has been laid down and round the clock security coverage has been made possible in three layers. Round the clock executive magistrate has been deputed to monitor the strong room on shift wise and it will be continued till the last date of counting is completed. He said.
As of now all the EVMs, VVPADs and other election materials has arrived and are kept in the strong room in sealed position. The postal ballot room will be open for exchange for the voters of district wise and finally the PB room will also be incomplete sealed and anyone authorized person can inspect the lock and key and seal as well. He said.
A dedicated Nodal officer KIpa Raja is there to oversee the affairs of the strong room and he is directly touched with the NIrvachan Bhawan and DEO office and taking care of all the issues inspite of availability of officers and officials of election management authority of the district. Said DEO Bomjen.
Since the assembly election for 14 Doimukh assembly constituency has taken place and two assembly constituency of Itanagar and Sagalee remain uncontested and candidates remain unopposed and declared elected. Election for the parliamentary constituency in the district was held. Team of officials of counting has already been done and review will be done before and try run will also be done and in case some more training required will also be given. He said.
Being District election officer and Returning officer of 14-Doimjukh assembly constituency would like to thanks each and every voters and general public, leaders of various political party, students, youths, party leaders and candidates and their supporters of Papum Pare district for smooth and successful conduct of voting process on April 19 and same tempo is required during the counting period also. I would like to appeal each and everyone for supporting the administration for smooth conduct of counting process at Golden Jubilee outdoor stadium’ s badminton hall on June for assembly constituency and June 4 for parliamentary constituency. The DEO Jiken Bomjen added.
Nodal officer and ARO KIpa Raja inform that all the preparation for counting is in full progress. System has been generated that every person who has no identity proof dually approved and authorized by the NIrvachan Bhawan or District election office will be allowed to enter the main gate even if he is a officer or official of any department or member of a political party. The candidates and their representative has to obtain the identity card approved by the election management authority either at Yupia and at Itanagar so that they can visit the strong room and the stadium campus and inspect the lock of the strong room for their confirmation. He said.
The strong room is locked and with two lock system and each and every room of the assembly constituency wise is also locked and it can also be checked and inspected before the counting. Anyone those who are coming to strong room campus has to enter their names and other details in the register kept at the main gate and even near the strong room so that no any untoward incident teaks place. CCTV Has been installed in various locations in the campus so as to monitor through digitally also and hope that every section of society extend support and cooperation for successful and peaceful conduct of election process in Papum Pare district. He added.
