The patient guest house at Shillong inaugurated, would be much relief for the patient and their attendant getting treatment at NEIGRIHMS

SHILLONG, The Arunachal Pradesh Patient Guest House (Hotel Regalia) near NEIGRIHMS, Shillong in Meghalaya  was formally inaugurated on Monday which would help immensely to the patients coming to Shillong for treatment with their attendants. It was a long felt demand of the patients which has been fulfilled by the present state government.

Inauguration of the patient guest house was formally done by NEIGRIHMS Ophthalmology deptt HoD Dr (Professor) Tanie Natung in the presence of Assistant Professors of NEIGRIM Dr Tony Ete , Dr Narang Naku and Bamin Tarang ,Deputy Resident Commissioner Shillong. Bamin Tarang.

Briefing the function, DRC Shillong Bamin Tarang said that it is a great achievement for the patient coming to Shillong for treatment by the present state government. This accommodation would be much helpful for the people of Arunachal Pradesh at Shillong and also accommodate the patient attendant so that they can get the needed medical treatment at Shillong properly and comfortably without much trouble looking for accommodation. He said.

There is a process for getting allotment for the rooms for patients and their attendants which need to be followed otherwise there may be problems and patients need not to face inconveniences. He said

The process to be followed while allotting rooms in the Guest House as it is specifically meant for the patients on being referred to NEIGRIHMS for treatment where they are to submit the referral documents along with the CMAAY card. He informed that the patients Guest house has 25 Rooms  2 Deluxe Single Room @ Rs 300/- 12 Deluxe Double Room @ Rs 500/- 6 Executive Room @ Rs 600/-and 5 Premium Room @ Rs 700/-

Dr Natung also appreciated the Government particularly the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Secretary GA for fulfilling the long pending need of the patients coming to Shillong for treatment.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Tony informed the house regarding the effort put in to locate the premise and assured to help the management in the smooth running of the Guest House as per the proposed guidelines, he further stated that a long pending need of the patients from Arunachal has been fulfilled. Dr Naku appreciated the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for the noble initiative, he further requested the patients and the attendants to adhere to the rules and regulation of the Guest House.

Dr Ibanari Siyem speaking on behalf  of Hotel Regalia assured to provide the best of service to the patients and attendants using the facility. Ms Ibabyanta Buhphang and Ms Shimti Shangpliang staff of NEIGRIHMS were felicitated on the occasion for facilitating the taking over of the Patients Guest House.

Medical Students of NEIGRIHMS also attended the programme.
